Tennis Game: Cat and Mouse
A fun way to train quick footwork and change of direction for young players.
How “Cat & Mouse” Works
There are 5-7 cones lined up on the court.
Two young players face each other, with the line of cones separating them.
At the coach’s command, the designated “cat” will chase the “mouse”. The cat will have to tap the mouse within a certain time given by the coach (eg. 20 seconds).
Then players switch roles: the cat becomes the mouse, and vice versa.
The game is part of My Daddy / My Coach, which you can find inside the How To Teach Tennis program, with the full progression lessons and many tips and drills.
