Kids Tennis Game: Royal Court
This is a fun warmup game for kids: ball tracking, sprint and stop, hand-eye coordination.
How the game works
The player(s) stand at the backfence with their racquets on the ground.
The coach is on the other side of the net, ready to feed high balls.
The coach will call out one of the kids’ names, then feed a high ball, which the respective player will run and catch after one bounce. If she catches it, she will place the ball on her racquet; if not, she will let it go.
Next player does the same.
When one of the players catches and places 5 balls on their racquet, the game is over.
This game is part of the How To Teach Tennis program, with many more drills and lessons to coach young players.
