I'm hitting too many forehands into the net

"The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it" - Michelangelo

I'm hitting too many forehands into the net!

1. Your racquet face could be too closed at contact with the ball. Check your grip; eastern or semi-western grips are ideal for forehand ground-strokes;
2. You might be hitting the ball too late (racquet face is closed) or too early.
3. Make sure you get under the ball by bending your knees; racquet should swing low to high starting at least one foot below the contact level.
4. Imagine the net as being a wall - aim at least 2 feet over it!
