Six Balls Race
This is another running drill for kids. It improves speed, ability to change direction quickly, coordination and control. One player can do it but if two players are present, they can do it as a race counting the time it takes to pick up all the balls.
How it works:
Place six balls as following: one at Baseline Center, one at each corner of Baseline and Singles Side Lines, one at the T (Center Line and Service Line), and one at each corner of Service Line and Singles Side Lines. The Player places her racquet behind the Baseline Center (about three feet). At command, she/he runs to pick up one ball at a time and put it on the racquet. The order of pick-up can be random or not.
