Bounce it!
How it works:
Two players start, each on one side of the net; they spin the racquet to choose who starts the rally. The player who wins the spin will "drop and hit" the ball to start the point. First ball must be hit over the net and inside the singles lines.
The players must keep the ball in play and bouncing on their side of the court. The ball can bounce in the court an unlimited number and players must use their racquets to keep the ball bouncing. No hands are allowed to grab or control the ball; just racquets.
Scoring:
One player scores a point if the ball rolls on the other player's side of the court.
The next point starts again with a "drop and hit".
This fun drill is for beginning players and it is great as a warm-up. It makes the players run and work on hand-eye coordination skills, as well as ball control.
