Seven Balls Drill
The Feeder stays on one side of the net with a bunch of balls ready. The player starts the drill from the left corner of the baseline and singles side Line.
The player executes seven forehands as follows:
- one ball at the left corner,
- one ball at the center baseline,
- one ball at the right corner,
- another ball at the right corner,
- one ball at the center baseline,
- one ball at the left corner,
- one ball (the seventh) short inside the right service box;
The cycle continues with the player back pedaling back to the right corner and executing seven backhands as previous pattern except that the first ball starts from the right corner.
Keep alternating between forehands and backhands for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Count the balls in and try to improve next time.
It's a very good drill to improve consistency, control and footwork.
